Personality Tests Useful in Your Professional Career

By July 26, 2017ThisWay Blog

The premise of personality tests ranges from Friends episodes to ice cream flavors, superheroes, and more. It’s hard to deny they can provide excellent entertainment or even a nice distraction from the everyday hustle and bustle. Most of them are just that, though: entertainment.

A personality test with real world benefit can be hard to come by, but at ThisWay Global, we actually encourage participation in certain personality tests that provide a fascinating insight into who you are as a person, what motivates you, and other important personal aspects that can be useful in your professional career. We wanted to share some of our favorites with you because when it comes to self-awareness, there’s no such thing as too much.

University of Cambridge – Psychometrics Test Centre

The University of Cambridge is renowned for revolutionary work in the fight against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases among countless other contributions in the tech and science fields. Aside from being the birthplace of ThisWay Global’s cutting edge software, they are also leading the way in various branches of tech research including exposing internet censorship for what it is and combating cybercrime.

This selection of 52 different quizzes, ranging in length from 2 to 45 minutes, varies in topics from your satisfaction with life to your ability to recognize faces or cope with new situations. It is a conglomerate of years of research in online behaviors, psychological profiles, and the seemingly insignificant traits that accompany them. We encourage sharing the results of your tests to your ThisWay Global passport, as they contribute to the overall impact your passport has.

16 Personalities

The philosophy behind the 16 Personalities test has a more classic history, dating back to the four temperaments (sanguine, choleric, melancholic and phlegmatic). While they have changed in various ways over the years, the same basic principles can and have been used to predict how each personality type will act in certain situations, with high accuracy.

The test results will be in the I/E,N/S,T/F,J/P format, depicting Introversion/Extroversion, Intuition/Sensing, Thinking/Feeling, and Judging/Perceiving. The site has detailed descriptions of each trait, as well as descriptions of each of the 16 personalities that make up your possible results.

Whether you choose one or the other or tackle both, you are bound to discover or understand things about yourself you may not have considered before. ThisWay Global believes in the power of knowledge, especially in your professional life. By creating a passport today, that power is within reach.
