Small businesses are the backbone of most economies. In the United States, for instance, small businesses provide over half of all jobs. In the UK, 99.3% of all private sector businesses at the beginning of 2015 were small businesses, and total employment in small-medium businesses was 15.6 million (60% of the private sector).
